Mexican Food in Japan

Growing up in NY you get expose to Mexican food. My baby sitter was from Mexico so she use to make amazing food. So living in Japan I really miss good Mexican food. Me and my wife found a great place called La Jolla which means the jewelry in Spanish. La Jolla is located in Hiroo.
This place is very cute and has a  authentic feel to it. With Mexican music playing in the back ground.

I recommend Burritos, Taquitos, kahual and coffee. Now you may say you have Mexican food but actually it's Tex-Mexican. Try this place and then tell me what you think.

American Barbecue

America is famous for its barbecue. To clarify the difference between BBQ and grilling. Grilling is when you cook meat by open fire. BBQ is when you cook by heat and smoke.
When you going to BBQ you usually want to prepare the meat at least 1 day before. Best way is by adding a rub, a rub is a group of ingredients you add to a meat. Such as garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, molasses, brown sugar, black pepper, etc.

The word barbecue comes from the word barbacoa which is what the Natives of the island Hispaniola called it. Which is now modern Hati & Dominican Republic. They would wet wood  and put the animals on top.
Ok to taste real American style BBQ. I suggest White Smoke in Azabu Juban. The food is delicious, the bigger the group the more different plates you can enjoy.
